who we are

we are flower haven

A collective of earth stewards, artists, scientists, and seed sowers working together to restore North America's native wilds. Our mission is simple yet powerful: reconnect people with the land through the humble act of planting seeds. We believe every handful of native seed holds the potential to rebuild habitat, resilience, and hope. Our seed pods are crafted with care and intention, to be scattered by anyone, anywhere. In this unfolding ecological revolution, we each have a role to play — and it begins with planting.

what is this
no-till method?

Our method is inspired by the ancient Japanese practice of “Neudro Dango,” or “seed balls”, a centuries-old no-till technique developed to mimic how nature plants itself. By wrapping seeds in a blend of clay, compost, and biochar, they’re protected until just the right conditions call them to grow. No machinery, no disturbance, just seed and soil in harmony. This method honors ancestral wisdom and the quiet intelligence of the earth. At Flower Haven, we’ve adapted it with native seeds to bring healing back to forgotten greenspaces.

why do we need this?

Across North America, lands have been stripped of their native species through years of chemical use and habitat fragmentation. Climate change is amplifying the damage, leaving many ecosystems brittle and bare. Pollinators, insects, and wildlife are vanishing , unable to complete their life cycles without the plants they’ve evolved alongside. Roads, dams, and development have divided their worlds, but seeds offer a gentle resistance. This is our chance to restore life, patch by patch, pod by pod.

how can we help?

We help by planting. Each seed we scatter invites the bugs, birds, and wild things back. Native roots dive deep, anchoring hillsides, cooling the land, holding water, cleaning the air, all while stitching habitat back together. The Monarch butterfly’s migration depends on having stops along the way: milkweed for eggs, nectar for fuel, safety for rest. These pit stops don’t exist without us. But with every backyard edge, roadside ditch, and hidden meadow we rewild, we build a living map of resilience. Toss a pod, make a difference.
